The Portland Golf Expo has agreed to send all proceeds from the Auction to benefit the Warrior Connection. Every year the Portland Golf Expo hosts an auction that primarily would benefit The First Tee organization, “This year, we have decided to send all the proceeds to The Warrior Connection,” Scott Mayer stated, one of the owners of the Portland Golf Expo.
Scott Mayer, PGA Professional at Nonesuch golf club, is a long time friend of Quinn and Mike. Scott played in the MC Invitational this past October and was generous enough to donate multiple lessons and Short Game DVDs to give away during the raffle. “I was amazed to see the amount of support the Point Sebago community has for each other. This event was one of the most well executed fundraisers I have seen. When I learned more about the beneficiary (The Warrior Connection), I wanted to do more myself,” Mayer said.
Quinn and Mike are extremely overjoyed with Scott’s support to help The Warrior Connection.
“I am truly humbled that the Golf Expo would pick the Warrior Connection based on what we do for it during the October Tournament over the years. It’s nice to see that what we are doing for the Veterans is starting to hit home with other businesses, organizations, and locals in our area,” Mike said after hearing about this news.
This years Portland Golf Expo will be at the Holiday Inn by The Bay in Portland on Saturday March 18th and 19th. Tickets are currently being sold online at mmeventsmaine.com. The first 2,000 attendees will receive a free round of golf to Point Sebago.
